Aguaa (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a matrimony application designed for users in specific locations in India. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use our mobile application ("Aguaa" or "the App").

When you use Aguaa, you may provide us with:

Age, gender, and relationship to the person you are registering
City and tehsil (for location-based filtering)
Mobile number and email address
Profile photo(s) uploaded from your gallery
Details about partner preferences (optional)
Login via Google account (email and display name only)
1.2 Automatically Collected Data
Basic device information (model, OS version, device ID)
Log data including IP address, crash logs, and app usage analytics
Ad interactions via Google AdMob (non-personalized or contextual ads only)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
Register and manage user profiles
Display and filter other user profiles based on city/tehsil
Enable login via Google
Store profile photos securely in Firebase Cloud Storage
Send notifications or communicate important updates
Collect service feedback via SMS, email, WhatsApp, or calls
Improve app performance using analytics and crash logs
3. Permissions Required
Aguaa requests the following permissions for key features:
Internet Access: To fetch profiles and ads
Storage/Gallery Access: To allow users to upload profile pictures
Network State: To optimize image loading and reduce data usage
We do not access or use any data from your gallery unless you explicitly choose it for upload.
4. Age & Account Responsibility
Aguaa is intended for users between the ages of 16 and 50. Profiles can be created either by the individuals themselves or by relatives, friends, or guardians on their behalf. It is your responsibility to ensure that the profile data provided is accurate and submitted with consent from the concerned person.
5. Data Storage & Deletion
User data, including profile details and images, is stored securely on Google Firebase servers. Users can delete their profile at any time from within the app. Once deleted:
All profile information is removed from our database
Any remaining backup may be retained temporarily by Firebase as per Google’s data retention policies
We do not keep any local or offline backups of user data
6. Data Sharing & Advertising
We do not sell or share your personal data with any third parties for commercial purposes.
However, we may:
Show non-personalized ads using Google AdMob, which may use device-level data (like Android Advertising ID)
Promote local businesses inside the app in the future without sharing user data
We may also contact you directly via:
SMS, Email, WhatsApp, or Phone Call — to ask for feedback, resolve service issues, or inform you about new features. These are occasional and respectful communications.
7. Security Measures
We take appropriate security steps to protect your information, including:
Using secure HTTPS connections
Storing images in secure Firebase Storage with access control
Enabling Google account authentication for login
Limiting access to user data within our team
Despite these precautions, no app or system can guarantee 100% security. In case of a data breach, we will inform you as soon as possible.
8. Children’s Privacy
While our app allows users as young as 16, it is not intended for children under 16. Profiles should be created with appropriate consent and adult supervision where necessary.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify users in the app or by email. Continued use of Aguaa after such updates means you accept the revised policy.
